What to Expect
It is completely normal to feel apprehensive or embarrassed about booking a colonic. Ashley provides a warm, professional studio that immediately makes you feel at ease. Here is how your journey unfolds.
Preparation & Hydration
To ensure your session is comfortable, preparation begins 24 to 48 hours prior. Hydrate well by drinking plenty of water, and try to focus on light, organic whole foods like vegetables, grains, and soups. Avoid raw vegetables, heavy red meats, processed sugars, and carbonated beverages. Crucially, refrain from eating anything for 2 hours directly before your session, and do not consume alcohol for 24 hours.
The Session (Private & Closed)
When you arrive, Ashley will sit down with you to review your intake form and answer any questions. You will be shown to a private, clean therapy room where you can undress from the waist down in privacy. The speculum used is small and sterile. Warmed, filtered water is introduced under very low pressure, softening waste which then flows through a closed tube directly into the waste line. There is absolutely no odor and no mess. A soothing abdominal massage is provided to help facilitate releases.
Post-Colonic Integration
Following the session, you will likely experience a feeling of lightness, cleanliness, and a natural energy surge. For the next 48 hours, keep your meals simple and easy to digest—think steamed vegetables, fruits, and warm soups. Avoid raw salads or heavy meats to give your resting digestive tract time to integrate. It is normal to experience a 1-to-2 day delay in bowel movements, as your colon has been cleared.
